In 2024, we are continuing our commitment to sustainability, including the construction of the Expo Park on our site. This project involves the redevelopment of the grounds around and between the halls as a logistical and multifunctional zone and is part of our broader objective as a sustainable multiformat event location. Easyfairs \u2013 owner of Flanders Expo \u2013 is allocating 4.8 million euros for this purpose.<\/strong><\/p>

Improved mobility<\/strong><\/p>

Thanks to the redevelopment of the roads around and between the halls, logistical transport<\/strong> (including the build-up and break-down of events) will run much more smoothly. Currently, the terrain layout around and between our halls consists of a patchwork of different surfaces, which does not always benefit the logistical activities on the site.<\/p>

The further implementation of digital signage<\/strong> on and around Flanders Expo is also on the agenda. Finding your way to Flanders Expo will become even easier.<\/strong><\/p>

Sustainable development<\/strong><\/p>

For years, we have been committed to being a sustainable event location.<\/a> During the construction of the Expo Park, we are focusing on water management and recovery, as well as energy and material usage. For example, we are providing a green border<\/strong> with trees, hedges, and wadis for the infiltration of rainwater.<\/p>

Furthermore, the reorganization of our private container park<\/strong> \u2013 where 28 types of waste are sorted \u2013 is also part of this sustainable project. This allows us to better collect, sort, and recycle waste from all events at Flanders Expo.<\/p>

Multiformat event location <\/b><\/p>

Additionally, the construction of the Expo Park is part of the long-term sustainable functioning of Flanders Expo. Multiple events can take place simultaneously without impacting mobility. Specifically, the Expo Park will serve as exhibitor parking, space for impressive outdoor events, or as a zone for managing visitor flows. This way, you \u2013 visitor, exhibitor, or organizer \u2013 will always enjoy an unparalleled experience! <\/strong><\/p>

Work will begin on Monday, April 8, 2024, and end on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Archaeological excavations will also be carried out during the works. No disruption is expected on or around The Loop.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>
