Ghent, September 15, 2025 – Easyfairs, manager of Flanders Expo and Namur Expo, is responding to the growing demand for smooth and smart accessibility. New charging points for cars and bicycles, extra superchargers, improved traffic flows and a user-friendly parking experience make it easier than ever for visitors and exhibitors to move around.
Smart mobility around Flanders Expo
This summer, the mobility infrastructure of Flanders Expo received a significant update. New road infrastructure, digital signage and an automated payment system with barriers ensure more comfort and faster throughput. With 50 charging stations, providing 100 charging points of 150 kW for cars and bicycles, there is already a solid basis for electric mobility. On top of that, 4 Boostcharge superchargers, providing 8 charging spaces, offer extra capacity. This makes access to Flanders Expo faster, simpler and more future-oriented.
The City of Ghent is also supporting the accessibility of The Loop with a new parking tariff that will be introduced this autumn. The fixed daily rate will disappear, meaning visitors will now only pay for the time they park.
An analysis of parking data shows that nearly 47% of visitors will pay the same or less than they do today, especially those parking for less than 4 hours. The new model promotes rotation and makes parking fairer and more efficient.
New dynamics at Namur Expo
Together with the BEP (Bureau Economique de la Province de Namur), Easyfairs has already invested in better mobility around Namur Expo. In addition to the renovation of the halls, there will be an exhibitor parking lot with 250 spaces, a spacious bicycle shed and 10 fast-charging stations. This makes the site more accessible for both car and bicycle traffic.
“Our exhibition halls play an important role in bringing communities together,” says Alain D’haese, COO & Head of Venues. “That is why we are investing in sustainable mobility solutions that improve the experience of our visitors. In both Ghent and Namur, we are building locations today that are ready for the next generation.”
One clear course: smooth accessibility for everyone
With these investments, Easyfairs emphasizes its ambition to offer visitors, exhibitors and partners a modern, accessible and worry-free mobility experience. Whether it is faster parking, smarter charging or smoother traffic flows: accessibility is central in both Ghent and Namur.
