New LED lighting at Flanders Expo: a sustainable choice

With the introduction of LED lighting systems at Flanders Expo, we’re taking a significant step towards a sustainable future. Through this innovative upgrade, which reduces our CO2 emissions by a substantial 144 tons per year, we aim to reaffirm our broader commitment to sustainable events.

Net Zero Carbon Events pledge

As part of the Easyfairs Group, we are committed to the Net Zero Carbon Events pledge, a crucial initiative in the fight against climate change. Our goal? To be net zero by 2050 and halve our CO2 emissions by 2030. Through the implementation of LED lighting and other sustainable initiatives at Flanders Expo, such as solar panels and waste management, we contribute to this global effort.

LED lighting: more than a bright idea

This upgrade results in a remarkable energy saving of 51% compared to our previous lighting system, and an annual reduction of as much as 144 tons of CO2 emissions in the hall’s lighting installation.

In addition, we are convinced that the installed LED lighting systems are not only more sustainable but also offer numerous benefits. We have installed approximately 5,850 meters of advanced LED light lines that we can seamlessly adjust to every organizers’ needs. This way, we create the perfect environment for every event!
